Productive Texas WR Ryder Treadway talks commitment to Toledo


Toledo reached in TEXAS to bring in a productive player from the Dallas area. Frisco Wakeland 2025 wide receiver Ryder Treadway chose the Rockets over offers from Air Force, military, Tulsa and some others. At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Treadway is currently unranked. Toledo has been on the rise under the coach Jason Candleand Treadway is a huge win for the Rockets.

Treadway told 247Sports that Toledo had everything he was looking for in a program.

“When I visited Toledo, it felt like home,” Treadway said. “Coach Candle and the coaching staff have created a great team culture there. I look forward to working with Coach (RJ) Flemming (RJ) Flemming and the team in January, and I look forward to playing there. .”

Treadway broke out as a junior at Wakeland catching 67 passes for 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns at the Texas 5A level. Treadway also plays basketball adding valuable multi-sport participation to his bag. Treadway was able to do it all as a junior at Wakeland working in the deep and intermediate game. He showed the ability to challenge defenses vertically and work in the short and intermediate game.

Treadwya's size gives him a great catch radius and he shows the ability to run after the catch. An excellent tracker of the ball that catches it away from his body, Treadway proves strong as an aerial ball winner who shows good body control to match passes on the fly.

Treadway is the 19th commit of the class for Toledo, who is currently ranked No. 69 overall in the 247Sports Team Recruiting rankings. Their attitude is ahead of programs like Washington state, State of Oregon, Vanderbilt and Colorado.
