North Texas Episcopal Rector Arrested for Soliciting a Minor – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
An associate rector at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth has been suspended after he was arrested and accused of soliciting minors online, a statement from the church confirmed.
Reverend Jason Myers, 43, was arrested on Thursday, April 11, by deputies with the Collin County Sheriff's Office.
The Rev. Dr. Robert F. Pace of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth said in a news release that an investigator from the sheriff's office called him and informed him that Myers had been charged.
Pace also said in the statement that the church does not believe anyone in the congregation or at school was injured, but that they are working with law enforcement to fully understand the situation.
