McKinney, TX | The motorcyclist died after colliding with the car
According to the police, the incident is being investigated for the full clarification of the accident.
MCKINNEY, Texas – A 47-year-old motorcyclist has died after reportedly crashing into a Kia Optima Sunday morning.
According to the McKinney Police Department, officers responded to a serious injury crash on North Custer Road around 9 a.m.
Police said in a news release that the crash happened when a Kia Optima was trying to pull out of a parking lot on the east side of North Custer Road.
According to police, as the Optima traveled across the northbound lanes to turn south onto the road, it was struck by an oncoming Yamaha R6 motorcycle.
The Emergency Medical Service provided appropriate assistance to the motorcyclist and sent him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the police, the incident is being investigated for the full clarification of the accident.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this challenging time,” the McKinney Police Department said in a news release.
