Marquee Matchup: Midland Legacy at Allen

It's a rematch of the regional playoff semifinal from a year ago Midland Legacy it takes five more hours of travel east to bump into Allen.

Legacy showed an ability to move the ball to Allen a year ago, but they will be without stud QB Marcos Davila, who is now at Purdue. The factory keys will be handed to dual-threat QB Jaden Rogers, who has a veteran core of WRs to work with led by WR Aiden Serrano. Replacing a strong offensive line and a good RB are big question marks for the Rebels.

Allenwhich made a surprise regional final run a year ago, has an outstanding returning cast of skill players led by QB Brady Bricker, RB Micah Ellis, WR Donnell Gee and ATH Caleb Smith. Where the Eagles have questions will be along the defensive line where AHS was hit hard by graduation. That said, Midland Legacy's defense against top-tier DFW teams hasn't shown the ability to consistently slow down offenses, so give Allen the edge going into this home game.
