Collin County's fastest growing city to get new homes, townhomes
A new community of single-family homes and townhomes is coming to Anna.
Coyote Meadows, near U.S. Highway 75 and State Highway 121, will have a total of 700 homes on 153 acres. Pre-sales for the lots began in late May, said a representative from Atlanta-based builder Ashton Woods.
Ashton Woods will build 225 single-family homes on 50-foot lots and 100 single-family homes on 60-foot lots. Homes Starlightan Ashton Woods company, will offer 150 townhomes in 26 feet and 225 single family homes in 40 feet.
Homes on 40 and 50 foot lots will be offered in the initial phase. Ashton Woods will offer 13 different home plans that include three to five bedrooms, two to four full baths and up to two half baths. Homes will be 1,534 to 3,116 square feet, with prices ranging from $343,000 to $470,000.
Starlight Homes' single family homes will have three to five bedrooms and two to four bathrooms. They will be 1,200 to nearly 2,800 square feet, priced from $300,000 to $400,000.
Starlight townhomes will have three to four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. They will have two floors and will range from 1,745 to 1,905 square meters. Pricing is not yet available, a company representative said.
“With access to excellent schools and employment corridors, we believe Coyote Meadows will be an attractive choice for families looking for a home that fits their lifestyle. This master-planned community will feature resort-style amenities inside, as well as walking connections to neighboring parks,” said Karla Horton, Ashton Woods vice president of sales and marketing.
The development is in Collin County, where the population boom continues. Anna was the fourth fastest growing city of 20,000 or moreaccording to recently released US Census Bureau data. From July 2022 to July 2023, the city's population grew 16.9%.
Celina, which straddles Collin and Denton counties, took the top spot with a population increase of 26.6%. North Texas had five of the 15 fastest growing cities in the country.
