Citywide yard sale, cleanup days set

Work is underway at the JW Spain Athletic Complex. Improvements are being made to the water drainage around the chicken areas and the new tree will be placed in the fields.

Hoping for cooler weather on the horizon, the Farmersville City Council announced the dates of two popular citywide events that have been successful in the past.

The community yard sale “Yard of Yards” will be held on September 21st and the citywide cleanup day will be held on October 19th.

The regular permit fee will be waived by the city for the yard sale event.

Mayor Craig Overstreet urged citizens to take advantage of every event and noted how the cleanup event could help with code compliance for some residents who need to clean up their property.
