2 people found dead in Wylie – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A murder investigation is underway after a man and woman were found shot to death in a Wylie neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

According to Wylie police, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3500 block of Hibiscus Drive just after noon. The person who called 911 reported seeing two people dead.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the bodies of a man and a woman who had been fatally wounded by gunfire.

The victims were later identified as 29-year-old Dakota Davis and 24-year-old Raylee Grimes, although police confirmed they were Wylie residents.

Wylie police said the Criminal Investigations Division is cooperating with the investigation and that the fatal shooting does not pose an ongoing threat to the community.
